The Youngsville High School gymnasium was filled to capacity last Friday as the second annual Youngsville Eagles alumni basketball game took place. This year’s event honored the memory of Gage Hendrickson, who tragically passed away in January. The community came together to remember him and support a cause in his name by collecting donations and selling T-shirts, with all proceeds going towards the newly created Gage Hendrickson Scholarship Fund.

Former Youngsville players from the Class of 1997 to the present participated in the game, which brought people together for a good cause and allowed them to honor Gage’s memory on the court. Participants and spectators alike enjoyed the competitive spirit while also contributing to a scholarship fund that will benefit future students.

The strong turnout at the event highlighted the impact that Gage had on those around him and the lasting legacy he has left within the Youngsville community. Overall, the second annual Youngsville Eagles alumni basketball game was a success, bringing people together for a good cause and honoring the memory of a beloved member of the community. The event showcased the tight-knit nature of the Youngsville community and its members’ willingness to support one another in times of need.
