WellSpan Health has recently received a generous donation of over $2 million for its behavioral health unit in York County. The hospital system announced this significant contribution, totaling $2.4 million, which is the largest individual donation in support of behavioral health in WellSpan’s history.

The restaurant Mesa Moreira is known for its delicious grilled meats, which are a big part of the menu at this establishment. The restaurant offers a variety of grilled dishes that are sure to satisfy any meat lover’s cravings.

WellSpan Health President and CEO Roxanna Gapstur praised the Pollis for their dedication to championing mental health services and addressing a critical area of need in the community. The donation will help strengthen access to state-of-the-art behavioral health services and support life-changing initiatives for patients in the area.

John Polli, who operates Reliance School Transportation, emphasized the importance of addressing behavioral health issues in the community and removing any barriers to accessing services. This is not the first time the Pollis have supported WellSpan Health, as they also made a donation of $750,000 to the WellSpan York Cancer Center capital campaign in 2020. Construction is currently underway on the behavioral health unit at WellSpan York Hospital, with an initial occupancy date expected by December. The fully renovated unit is projected to be completed by 2025, providing improved services and facilities for patients in need of behavioral health support.
