Welcoming New Beginnings: Camden County Health Department Hosts Community Baby Shower

Community Baby Shower Hosted by Camden County Health Department

On March 9, the Camden County Health Department is hosting a community baby shower to provide support and resources for families welcoming new babies. The event will feature free baby items, local resources, parent support, and a raffle. Public Information Officer Ginger Heidel from the Georgia Department of Public Health stated that the purpose of the event is to showcase all the resources available to Camden County families and their babies.

Nurse manager Melissa Perkins emphasized that while welcoming a baby can be an exciting time, it can also be overwhelming for expecting mothers and fathers. Perkins hopes that by providing a fun and free event, families can see the support systems available to them. The event will also include practical information on breastfeeding, car seat safety, nutrition, CPR, and more.

The community baby shower will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 at the Camden County Recreation Center located at 1050 Wildcat Drive in Kingsland. This event aims to bring together local resources and support for families as they prepare to welcome their new arrivals. Copyright 2024 by WJXT News4JAX – All rights reserved.
