USA TODAY Sports Releases Week 3 Coaches’ Poll Rankings

The Texas A&M men’s basketball team is currently undefeated at 4-0, with impressive victories over Ohio State, SMU and Oral Roberts. Their recent win solidified their strong start to the season.

The team will next head to Orlando, Florida for the ESPN Invitational Tournament, where they will face off against Penn State in a rematch of last year’s NCAA Tournament opening-round loss. Head coach Buzz Williams and his determined squad are eager to make their mark in the tournament.

In the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, Texas A&M rose two spots to No. 13, indicating that their impressive start has caught the attention of voters. They remain undefeated heading into the ESPN Invitational Tournament, positioning themselves as a force to be reckoned with in college basketball. They are currently ranked second in the SEC behind Tennessee at No. 8.

Other SEC teams that made it into the top 25 include Alabama at No. 22, Kentucky at No. 16 and Mississippi State, who entered the rankings for the first time this year with a 5-0 record. Arkansas, Auburn and South Carolina also received votes in the poll, showing the strength of the conference early on in the season.
