On Monday, a note released by Donald Trump’s physician stated that the former president is in “excellent health” and will continue to lead an active lifestyle for many years. The release of this information coincided with the 81st birthday of Democratic President Joe Biden, who has become a major contender in the 2024 presidential race.
According to the note, which was posted on Trump’s Truth Social account, Trump has lost weight through improved nutrition and daily exercise while maintaining a busy schedule. The note was signed by Bruce Aronwald, an osteopath from New Jersey, but did not provide any additional details about Trump’s health status.
Trump’s physical examinations were reportedly within normal range and his cognitive evaluations were described as exceptional. This note comes from a different doctor than the one who produced a similar statement in 2016, when Harold Bornstein, Trump’s physician at the time, indicated that the contents of the note had been dictated by Trump himself.
In that previous statement from 2016, Trump stated that he weighed 215 pounds (98 kg) and was 6 feet 3 inches (1.9 meters) tall. This information was released during a legal battle related to Trump’s efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia, where he has pleaded not guilty in several criminal cases.
