A Milwaukee radio station recently organized an event at the Potawatomi Casino Hotel to support small business owners and provide a platform for networking and resource sharing. The event, hosted by Jammin’ 98.3, featured dozens of vendors offering a wide range of products and services, from healthcare to fashion. Radio host Shatavia Brown described the event as a gathering of beautiful women coming together to support each other’s businesses and provide valuable resources that can help save lives.

Known as The Gathering, this event has been running for more than 20 years, with TMJ4’s Andrea Williams being part of the team that started it. Over the years, The Gathering has grown significantly, with the latest event attracting hundreds of participants, including business owner Shae Eubanks of Shae Shoes & Apparel, who had a successful day selling out of her products. Special guests at the event included Junior from the Steve Harvey Morning Show and the popular JazzyRae’ Jewels & Accessories Fashion Showcase.

Attendees at the event expressed their excitement and appreciation for the opportunity to connect with fellow business owners and showcase their products. Lannon Cobb of 2 Kings Barber Shop highlighted the importance of supporting and celebrating Black-owned businesses within the community.
