In the early hours of the morning, a sports bar in Schererville, Indiana was the site of an incident that left three people injured. Just before midnight, a patrolling officer noticed a large crowd fleeing from Longshots Sports Bar. A witness informed the officer that shots had been fired inside the bar.
The Schererville police department and neighboring law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene and secured it. Upon investigation, three individuals were found with minor injuries caused by a ricocheting bullet fragment. They were treated by the Schererville Fire Department. Authorities stated that the incident was isolated and there was no threat to the public.
