The growth of sports betting comes with consequences – Are we paying a price?

The sports betting boom has transformed the way fans interact with sports and has been a lucrative source of revenue for professional leagues. However, it has also brought about scandals, concerns about player safety, and a growing awareness of the potentially harmful effects of gambling addiction.

Today, we will explore whether it is time to reassess our approach to sports betting, just six years after its legalization. Our guests include Danny Funt, a reporter covering the sports betting industry, and Richard Daynard, a law professor and president of the Public Health Advocacy Institute at Northeastern University.
