The Daring Theft of an ATM: A Closer Look at the Incident in Boyce, Louisiana

Police investigating after a man reportedly stole an ATM from a business

On the night of February 12, a black Ford Fusion was used to steal an ATM from a business in Boyce. The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident, which took place at approximately 4:55 a.m. in the 5500 block of Old Boyce Road.

According to RPSO, the suspect approached the business and backed up into it, causing significant damage to the front doors by ramming them off their hinges. Once inside, he took the ATM machine and placed it in his vehicle before leaving about six minutes later.

The black Ford Fusion sustained heavy damage to its rear end and is missing several undercarriage items, including side mirrors. It lost its rear bumper as well. The suspect is wanted for simple burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.
