Super Bowl 2023: Ensuring a Slip-Proof Field for Players

Super Bowl Field in Good Condition, As of Now

Last year, the Super Bowl field was in poor condition. However, this year, it looks promising, with the logos at the 25 yard lines, the Big Shield at the 50, and the team names and logos in each end zone. Players are already on the field for warmups, and the grass appears to be performing as intended without any slipping or sliding.

Despite this, players aren’t yet making full-speed cuts, so the real test will come during the game. The league office has been blamed for last year’s poor field conditions due to raised concerns by owners during their March 2023 annual meetings.

Ultimately, it was not the players’ fault; it had a negative impact on the game. As such, it is crucial that the league ensures that they get it right this year.
