The new Minister of Defense, Ivan Anušić, recently spoke to members of Parliament about his education. He revealed that he dropped out of high school at 17 and went to war. After returning in 1993, he finished high school and took out a loan to attend the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb. Despite receiving a ‘bachelor’s’ degree last year, Parliament mistakenly assumed that Anušić had completed his studies.
However, the administration of the Faculty of Kinesiology confirmed that Anušić is currently pursuing his professional graduate study in Coach Education. In fact, he completed his undergraduate professional study in Coach Education last year and is now working toward earning his professional specialist title in the coaching profession. Anušić has completed six semesters of undergraduate studies and is planning on completing an additional four semesters for graduate-level studies.
Anušić stated that he intends to continue his studies while serving as Minister of Defense and is committed to putting forth the effort needed to complete his program.
