Weber defeats Roy in boys volleyball debut as spring sports season kicks off

On Tuesday, several sports competitions took place, with multiple wins and standout performances across various sports. In boys volleyball, Weber High dominated Roy with a clean sweep, winning with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, and 25-19. Sam Cruz and Tate Vernon led Weber with 11 kills each and four aces respectively, contributing to their team’s success. Meanwhile, Orem defeated Syracuse in another boys volleyball match with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-19. Davis Caldwell and Gabe Meredith led Syracuse with five kills each while Branson Hamblin, Caleb Roskelley, and Joshua Godfrey also made significant contributions to the team.

In softball action, Box Elder secured an impressive win over Mountain Crest with Justy Pritchard standing out with a home run and four RBIs. Kellie Malan and Kailee Hall also made strong offensive contributions for Box Elder while Hall earned the win as a pitcher. In baseball games played on Tuesday, Moapa Valley defeated Ogden 9-2 while Virgin Valley won against Bonneville with a score of 16-0. Mountain View bested Bonneville in a close match by winning it three games to one. Unfortunately no detailed stats were reported for these games.

In boys soccer action on Tuesday, Davis defeated Logan 3-0 while Green Canyon beat Ogden 1-0 in another close match that went all the way to extra time. Granger won against Ben Lomond by the same margin of victory – two goals to none – while Draper APA had an impressive commanding victory over Utah Military by winning it eight goals to nil.
