Spring Training Baseball Game Disrupted by Mass Casualty Bus, Despite No Serious Incidents

8 individuals transported to hospital following health-related incidents at Clover Park

On Tuesday, emergency crews from the St. Lucia County Fire District responded to a sold-out spring training baseball game between the New York Mets and Yankees at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie. Due to a surge of health-related calls, a mass casualty bus was brought to the scene. However, according to fire district spokeswoman Brenda Stokes, the bus was not needed as the response was deemed overwhelming and bizarre.

Eight people were taken to the hospital, but officials have not disclosed the specific health issue that triggered the response. The incident is still under investigation, and more information may be released in due course.
