Spain Advances to Quarterfinals of Under-17 World Cup with Marc Guiu’s Stunning Goal

Barcelona forward Marc Guiu has just scored another goal at the Under-17 World Cup, helping Spain advance to the quarter-finals of the competition. In their final group fixture, Spain defeated Japan 2-1, with Guiu’s teammate Quim Junyent also finding the back of the net in the game.

Junyent opened the scoring for La Rojita after just eight minutes of the match, and Japan equalised five minutes before halftime. In the second half, Junyent provided an assist to Guiu, who scored the winning goal, securing Spain’s spot in the quarter-finals. Junyent was awarded man of the match.

Spain will now face either the USA or Germany for a chance to advance to the semi-finals. If they play against Germany, Spain’s Barca contingent will come up against Noah Darvich, who has been performing well for his national side at the tournament.
