The Trosjed cable car on Crveni spust sustained significant damage during a July storm, which has resulted in it being beyond repair. This has caused disappointment among skiing enthusiasts, as the Crveni spust will not be operational for skiing this year.
However, officials from the City of Zagreb have announced that preparations for the ski season on the White and Green slopes are underway. Preliminary work has been completed, and snowmaking will soon begin to prepare for the upcoming season. In addition, plans for the procurement of a new cable car for the Red Slope are also in progress.
Despite the setback caused by the damaged Trosjed cable car, skiing enthusiasts can still look forward to a great season on other slopes. With preparations well underway and plans in place for a new cable car, there is reason to be optimistic about what the future holds for skiing in Zagreb.
