Seahawks finalize deals with Rayshawn Jenkins and George Fant

The Seattle Seahawks have made moves to bolster their roster by signing veteran free agents Rayshawn Jenkins and George Fant. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, the team has agreed to terms with both players. Jenkins, who was recently released by the Jacksonville Jaguars, had garnered interest from several teams including the Seahawks, 49ers, and Packers before ultimately choosing Seattle. During his time with the Jaguars, Jenkins started every game in the last two seasons and posted impressive stats including 101 tackles, two interceptions, a sack, and nine passes defensed in 2023.

Meanwhile, Fant will be returning to the Seahawks for his second stint with the team. He previously played 46 games for Seattle between 2016 and 2019 before moving on to the Jets for three seasons and then a year with the Texans. Now, he is back with the Seahawks to provide depth at the tackle position behind Charles Cross and Abe Lucas.

These signings add experience and talent to the Seahawks roster as they prepare for the upcoming season. With Jenkins bringing stability to the safety position and Fant providing depth and versatility on the offensive line, Seattle is looking to be a competitive force in the NFC West. Fans will be eager to see how these new additions perform on the field and contribute to the team’s success.
