Revving Up Equality: The Launch of the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship

The World Superbike Championship

The FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship, also known as WorldWCR, is set to launch in 2024 with the aim of providing equal opportunities for aspiring female riders. The series will feature the Yamaha R7 and will consist of six rounds throughout the year. With a focus on breaking stereotypes and opening doors to both on and off-track benefits, this new championship promises to be an exciting addition to the world of motorsport.

Out of more than 40 riders who applied, 24 have been selected to take part in the first edition of the series. The Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round will kick off the championship on June 14th-16th. This single-make series is exclusively for women and seeks to provide a platform for emerging talent in comparison to the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.

Fans can keep up with all the action using the WorldSBK VideoPass, which offers exclusive access to live streams, highlights, and behind-the-scenes content from all six rounds. This new era of women’s circuit racing is set to redefine what it means to be a professional racer and open up new possibilities for women in motorsport.
