Microsoft is set to enhance the gaming experience on Windows 11 with a new feature called Super Resolution. This feature, which aims to improve the quality of games, was spotted in a preview version of Windows 11 and is set to launch later this year.
The idea behind Super Resolution is to integrate the feature seamlessly into Windows 11, making it easy for users to boost the visuals of their games. This information was gleaned from a hidden setting within the preview version of Windows 11.
With the help of AI, Windows 11 will get a significant boost with Super Resolution. Thanks to a tip-off by @PhantomOfEarth on X (you might know it as Twitter), we learned that this feature automatically enhances game visuals with some smart technology behind the scenes. Users can even tweak it for each game to achieve the perfect results.
Another tech enthusiast, @Thebookisclosed, also discovered this feature in the preview version of Windows 11 and shared a video on X. If you’re curious, you can try it out yourself with ViveTool, which can be downloaded from GitHub.
To activate the feature, users need to open the command prompt as an administrator and enter the activation key: vivetool /enable /id:39695921 /variant:3. Make sure to install the tool before entering the key and restarting your computer. Once activated, Super Resolution should be up and running, providing an even better gaming experience on Windows 11.
