Plenković Blasts Violator of Constitution for Not Resigning

After a session of the HDZ presidency where the election campaign was discussed, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković made a statement to the media. He revealed that at the session of the presidency of the HDZ, they were dealing with the election campaign that had started and that they had “analyzed a little”. Plenković mentioned that they had reached GDP growth levels similar to Hungary, which joined the EU exactly 9 years ago. He also stated that he planned to raise pensions to an average of at least 760 euros and expressed confidence in Croatia’s goal to join the OECD in two years.

Plenković emphasized the importance of the upcoming elections to the voters, urging them to choose between continuing to restore trust in the current leadership or taking a risk with other candidates. He dismissed criticisms regarding the number of women on the lists and addressed accusations related to the Constitution, stating that the SEC and the Constitutional Court should deal with violators. The campaign strategy was outlined to include a range of activities from meetings to social media engagement.

When asked about his response to interviews and the criticism of his political competitors, Plenković remained firm in his stance, asserting that their party had led Croatia to growth and progress in all areas. He dismissed Milanović’s actions and statements as insignificant, projecting confidence in the upcoming elections. The Prime Minister expressed indifference towards Milanovć’s tactics and pointed out that the presidential elections were approaching, hinting at a changing political landscape.
