Pjaca Discusses Reasons for Not Joining Dinamo and Shares His Plans for Croatia; Skeptical of Rijeka Title as a Miracle

Marko Pjaca is thrilled to be back in the Croatian national team and is eager to help them in their upcoming qualifying matches. After making his debut for the national team more than 9 years ago, Pjaca has had an interesting football journey that has taken him through many ups and downs.

Pjaca suffered a serious knee injury and was unable to return to HNL until November 2018. However, he managed to reach the silver medal in Russia with the national team before stepping away from the team again. He was surprised and overjoyed when he received a call inviting him back to the national team.

The winger believes that everything in his career has happened for a reason, and that playing in Rijeka has given him more confidence and helped him grow as a player. While he does not regret not returning to HNL earlier, he thinks it was meant for him to play in Italy first before coming back home.

Pjaca shared Zlatko Dalić’s expectations for him in the upcoming matches and expressed how playing in the World Cup final five years ago was one of his career highlights. He also talked about Rijeka’s potential to win the championship this season, which he is excited about.

Pjaca enjoys his time at Rijeka and feels welcomed by the fans there. He knows anything is possible in football but hopes for success with both Rijeka and Croatia’s national team.
