Olay Collaborates with Coursera to Introduce Cosmetics Science Course

Olay has partnered with Coursera to introduce a new course titled Introduction to Cosmetic Science and Ingredients. The course is aimed at attracting more learners, specifically women and women of color, to explore the field of cosmetic science. This initiative reflects Olay’s commitment to increasing diversity in STEM fields, with a goal of doubling the number of women and tripling the number of women of color in STEM by 2030. To support this effort, Olay and Coursera will provide US$2 million in scholarships over the next three years.

Rolanda Wilkerson, Senior Beauty Scientist at P&G, explains the motivation behind this collaboration, stating that Olay is dedicated to making a positive impact on the STEM pipeline and supporting women in STEM. By partnering with Coursera, Olay aims to make STEM education more accessible to current and aspiring learners. The course, Introduction to Cosmetic Science and Ingredients, is designed for anyone interested in skincare, whether as a hobby or as a potential career path. Learners will have the opportunity to learn from Olay scientists and gain foundational knowledge in the field of cosmetic science.
