In preparation for the 2024 Republican National Convention, which will take place in Milwaukee next summer, local businesses now have a convenient way to connect with attendees and other guests affiliated with the event. The convention’s local host committee has launched an online directory featuring nearly 700 local businesses that can provide services to convention goers and other guests.
The directory includes everything from audiovisual and transportation services to event venues and caterers, providing a one-stop shop for RNC-related groups. Users can easily browse through the list of businesses using a search function and category filters. Each business is listed with details and contact information, making it easy for RNC-related groups to connect with potential vendors.
The MKE 2024 Host Committee created the tool as part of its mission to showcase Milwaukee and ensure that local businesses have the opportunity to work with RNC-related clients. The committee spent several months encouraging businesses to register for the directory, culminating in a Convention Partner Fair where 300 local businesses had the opportunity to exhibit their services and products to delegates, state party representatives, donors, and national media in town for the first presidential primary debate.
Alison Prange, chief operating officer of the MKE 2024 Host Committee, emphasized the importance of the Vendor Directory in bridging the gap between local businesses and the guests visiting the city for the convention. The goal is to support Milwaukee businesses that want to work around the convention and to ensure that the city can put its best foot forward in hosting tens of thousands of guests from around the country.
