Missouri Ski Resort Prepares for Increased Business

As winter nears, the excitement for ski season continues to grow. Missouri is home to several ski resorts near Kansas City and St. Louis, including Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Wildwood. Tony Santora, the general manager of Hidden Valley, has been busy preparing the resort for the upcoming season.

Santora explained that one of the key aspects of getting ready for ski season is making sure that all necessary inspections have been completed. He also described the process of making snow, which involves a wet bulb temperature to determine when they are able to start making snow. It takes about four days of continuous snowmaking to make enough snow to open the resort.

With the winter season approaching, staff members are being brought on board at Hidden Valley Ski Resort. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, beginners can also take advantage of lessons offered at the resort. Snow tubing is another popular activity that visitors can enjoy during the winter months.

As these Missouri ski resorts gear up for the start of ski season, anticipation is building among skiers and winter enthusiasts alike. With a variety of activities available for all ages and skill levels, there is something for everyone to enjoy at these exciting destinations.
