Microsoft Announces New AI Team to be Led by Altman

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced that the company will hire OpenAI’s Sam Altman and other members of his team, just a few days after firing the co-founder. “Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, along with colleagues, will join Microsoft to lead a new advanced artificial intelligence research team,” Nadella said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

As part of their new role at Microsoft, Altman and Brockman will focus on developing cutting-edge AI technologies that can help solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges. This includes areas such as healthcare, climate change, and education.

The addition of these talented individuals to the Microsoft team is expected to accelerate the company’s efforts in these areas and further enhance its position as a leader in AI research and development.
