Mary Nedra Klass, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 13th, 2023 at Windsor House in Champion. She was born in Jewett, Ohio on October 1st, 1939 to Mathew A. Uglovich and Gladys D. Gamble Uglovich. After completing her studies at Jewett High School in 1957, Mary began working at Packard Electric where she spent the next 31 years before retiring.
Mary was an active member of the Howland Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering her time there. In addition to her religious commitments, she also volunteered at the Packard Museum and its car show as well as with the Salvation Army during Christmas time when she would wrap presents for those in need.
Mary loved to travel and would visit Florida every spring to catch up with her family members there. She cherished all of her nieces and nephews and took great pride in their accomplishments. She had many grandchildren who meant the world to her and whom she adored deeply.
Mary is survived by her nephew Leonard Hanchin of Irvine, California; nieces Michele Jeffers of Warren and Julie Moon of Kent; as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and great-great-grandnieces who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her sister Martha “Milly” Hanchin.
Services will be held at noon on Monday, November 20th at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home with a one-hour visitation prior to the service at the funeral home itself. Mary will be laid to rest in Champion Township Cemetery after a beautiful ceremony honoring her life and achievements. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carl W
