Delicious Mocktail Recipes for Valentine’s Day from Tulsa Health Department

In preparation for Valentine’s Day, the Tulsa Health Department’s substance abuse prevention program and the StopDUI Task Force are urging residents who drink alcohol to do so responsibly and safely, or to try a fun mocktail instead. The StopDUI Task Force and the substance abuse prevention program of THD collaborated to present a Facebook Live mocktail tutorial for Valentine’s Day, to take place on Friday, February 9. THD Prevention Specialist Kandice Lawson and Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Eric Kirby are going to share delicious recipes for festive drinks that can be prepared for Valentine’s Day.

For those looking to avoid alcohol altogether or just want a non-alcoholic option, there are several delicious mocktails that can be enjoyed on this special day. One such recipe is the “Circus of Love,” which requires ingredients like marshmallow fluff, cotton candy, sprinkles, and a large carbonated beverage. To make this drink, roll the rim of the glass in marshmallow fluff before dipping it in sprinkles. Pour three-quarters of the carbonated beverage into the glass and stir in handfuls of cotton candy until well combined. This drink is sure to impress any guest at your Valentine’s Day party.

Another delicious mocktail option is “Stop in the Name of Love,” which combines sparkling hibiscus red grape juice with lemon-lime soda and orange juice for a refreshing twist on a classic cocktail. To make this drink, simply add ice to a glass along with sparkling hibiscus red grape juice, lemon-lime soda, orange juice, and crushed ice. Stir in several Valentine’s candy hearts before garnishing with an orange wheel on top.

If you prefer something more tropical than sweet treats on your special day, then “Kandi-Coated Punch” may just be up your alley. This punch recipe calls for ingredients like Sprite, Simply Lemonade with Raspberry Juice and Strawberry Juice (both 52 fl oz), Dole 100% Pineapple Juice (46 fl oz can), strawberries, raspberries, pineapple juice and one Simply Lemonade with Raspberry Juice (52 fl oz). To prepare this punch simply add all ingredients together and stir well before serving!
