Ivošević Submits a Grievance against Plenković for Insulting Remarks about Milanović’s Statements

In a surprising turn of events, Deputy Mayor of Split Bojan Ivošević has filed a misdemeanor report against Prime Minister Andrej Plenković for insulting and belittling state bodies. This action follows Ivošević’s own fining of 700 euros by the police earlier this month for a similar offense. The Deputy Mayor spoke to police officers trying to prevent the illegal felling of a tree in Glagoljaška Street in Split, during which he called them “crazy” and “not normal.”

Ivošević took to Facebook to inform the public about his misdemeanor report against Prime Minister Plenković. He expressed his dissatisfaction with how the police had handled his own case and stated that he wanted to test if they would respond equally to insults against other state authorities. In his announcement, Ivošević stated his belief that Mayor Ante Balov will act in the same way as in similar cases and issue a misdemeanor order against the Prime Minister for his remarks about President Zoran Milanović.
