Helping Cancer Survivors Thrive: Allstate Benefits Partners with Osara Health to Provide Evidence-Based Support

Osara Health collaborates with Allstate to provide cancer care support to members

In an effort to support members affected by cancer, Allstate Benefits has partnered with Osara Health, a provider of evidence-based behavior change interventions for cancer care. The company’s program aims to help individuals living with cancer return to work faster by providing educational and behavior change support. Developed by oncologists who identified gaps in holistic cancer care, Osara’s program focuses on improving quality of life and health outcomes for individuals with cancer.

According to research from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, a significant portion of emergency department visits and expenses for individuals with cancer result from insufficient symptom management. Additionally, a high percentage of cancer diagnoses occur during working years, yet many patients never return to work. A study published last March showed that participants in Osara programs were significantly more likely to resume work compared to those who did not have access to the program.

Osara Health was originally known as Cancer Aid and was founded in 2016 with a mission to transform the cancer care experience by empowering individuals living with cancer to improve their outcomes through knowledge, strategies, and behaviors. Other companies in the cancer care industry, such as Thyme Care, Jasper Health, and Navigating Cancer, are also focused on providing innovative solutions for individuals with cancer.

The session “Implementation of Novel Home-Based Care Programs” is set to take place on Friday, March 15, from 10:30-11 a.m. ET at HIMSS24 in Orlando. Visit the event website to learn more and register for the session.
