Jamie Wall, a business consultant, declares candidacy for Green Bay Senate district

Green Bay business consultant Jamie Wall has announced his candidacy for the 30th Senate District, challenging current Republican incumbent Eric Wimberger. Wall, a Democrat, stated that he is running to support working individuals who are facing challenges with rising costs of healthcare, child care, and housing in the state. During his campaign kickoff event at CityDeck in Green Bay, Wall emphasized the need for change and expressed his dedication to earning the support of voters in the area.

If no other candidates enter the race, Wall will go head-to-head with Wimberger in the November election for the newly redrawn Senate District 30, which includes areas like Green Bay, Ashwaubenon, Allouez, De Pere, and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. With a background in strategic planning and business analysis, Wall is familiar with economic development in northeastern Wisconsin. He played a key role in establishing the New North organization.

Senate District 30 was previously Marinette’s district and predominantly supported Republican candidates. However, due to new maps that have made it more politically competitive and show a near-even split between Democrats and Republicans as analyzed by John Johnson at Marquette University’s Lubar Center.
