Global Outage: Meta’s Facebook, Instagram and Other Services Go Offline for Hours

Facebook and Instagram are back online after resolving global issues at Meta

American social media giant Meta, which includes Facebook and Instagram, has experienced a global breakdown that left some of its services offline for several hours. The issue was resolved quickly, according to Meta’s communications director Andy Stone, who announced the news on X (formerly Twitter).

Users had reported problems with services like Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Threads on specialized website Downdetector. While these platforms have faced outages in recent weeks, they had never been offline simultaneously as during this event.

Despite the widespread service interruption caused by the technical issue, it has now been resolved and Meta’s platforms are once again back up and running smoothly. Users can now access their favorite social media apps and services without any further disruption. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of reliable and stable technology infrastructure in today’s digital age.
