Get Ready for the Holidays: A Guide to Preparing Thanksgiving Gift Bags

Linda Young, the organizer of the Lake Placid Ecumenical Food Pantry, led a group of volunteers in stuffing bags for Thanksgiving on Monday morning. The pantry, located at St. Agnes Church, is dedicated to providing food security to those in need during the holiday season.

The community support and dedication to helping those less fortunate was evident in the team’s efforts. Bernie Clarke, one of the volunteers, was seen manning the stuffing station of the Thanksgiving bag assembly line. He and his fellow volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure that families would have access to a Thanksgiving meal.

Linda estimated that they would distribute around 275 bags of food over the course of the day. The bags packed by the volunteers would go on to make a significant difference for many families during the holiday season. Their mission has been crucial in providing food security to those in need and has made a significant impact on their lives.
