CW Sports Appoints Jason Wormser as Senior Vice President

The CW Network has announced the appointment of Jason Wormser as the Senior Vice President of CW Sports. In his new role, he will oversee all production aspects of The CW’s sports portfolio, including live events such as LIV Golf, ACC college football, men’s and women’s basketball, and the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025.

Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment at The CW Network, expressed excitement about bringing Wormser on full time. “Jason has been an invaluable asset to us since we launched CW Sports one year ago,” he said. “His passion, experience, and dedication to ensuring a compelling broadcast make him an ideal candidate for this position.”

Before joining The CW Network as a consultant, Wormser served as Vice President of Production for Fox Soccer Channel Fox and FS1. He supervised behind-the-scenes crews responsible for broadcasting the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and the FIFA Men’s World Cup in 2018.

Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to join The CW Network, Wormser stated, “In just one year—signing deals first with LIV Golf then adding ACC football and basketball Inside the NFL NASCAR Xfinity Series—we have set a solid foundation as we help grow The CW’s public awareness and provide value to our affiliates nationwide.”
