The Kansas City Chiefs won their second straight Super Bowl on Sunday night thanks to a Mecole Hardman touchdown catch in overtime. Though Jim Nantz and Tony Romo were calling the television broadcast for CBS, Kevin Harlan provided an epic call of his own via a radio broadcast.
Harlan, who began his football broadcasting career as the voice of the Chiefs, was the play-by-play announcer for Westwood One Sports Radio’s Super Bowl broadcast on Sunday. He was on the call for the Chiefs’ ensuing drive, including the Super Bowl-winning touchdown pass to Hardman.
“It’s caught! Hardman caught the ball!” Harlan said on the call. “The Chiefs have won!”
