Fulton Police Use Drone Technology to Locate Missing Vulnerable Person

In an impressive show of police prowess, the Fulton Police Department in New York located a missing vulnerable person using a drone. The person was reported missing by their family on Monday evening, and the police quickly mobilized a drone operator to assist in the search and rescue effort.

Within minutes, the drone was deployed around 7:50 p.m., covering a wooded area near the 600 block of Gansvoort Street. The use of thermal imaging allowed the operator to locate the missing person at approximately 8:12 p.m. The operator then directed ground units to the location.

The missing person was found to be in good health and was helped out of the woods by officers. They were then reunited with their family. Deputy Chief Chris Dempsey emphasized the importance of using cutting-edge technology for the safety of the community and officers in this successful recovery effort.
