The holiday season is upon us and what better way to celebrate than by attending the 4th Annual Hometown Christmas event in Brazil, Indiana. Hosted by Brazil Main Street and the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, this event is a must-do for anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit. Taking place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., it’s part of Small Business Saturday, which encourages shoppers to support local businesses during the holiday season.
Local businesses and vendors in Clay County will be participating in the event, offering special activities and promotions for attendees. One of the highlights of the event is a scavenger hunt that will take participants to various businesses in the area. The winners of the scavenger hunt will be announced during a community Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at Brazil City Hall. With over 30 participating locations and dozens of craft vendors, there’s plenty to see and do at this event.
Attendees can pick up a paper passport at any of the participating locations, then visit each business to collect a Christmas stamp. Once they have stamps from at least 20 locations, they will be eligible for prizes. In addition to the paper passport, Thrive West Central has created a Hometown Christmas layer in their Crossroads Trails App, which allows participants to easily see all of the participating locations on their phones. This provides a convenient map and guide for planning out the day’s activities on their phones.
Overall, this event is a great opportunity for attendees to support local businesses while also getting into the holiday spirit with fun activities and promotions offered by participating vendors. So mark your calendars for Saturday from 10 a.m
