Chautauqua County Health Department Lifts Boil Water Order for Fredonia Water Customers

Fredonia Village Water Customers No Longer Under Boil Water Order

The Chautauqua County Health Department, in collaboration with the Village of Fredonia, has canceled the boil water order for all Village of Fredonia water customers, including those outside the Village boundaries. This decision comes after two consecutive days’ sample results indicate that the water throughout the distribution system is safe for various purposes including drinking, cooking, and making ice.

It is recommended that all plumbing lines that have not been regularly used since the boil water went into effect should be flushed before consuming water from that line, including ice makers and refrigerator water dispensers.
