Breaking the Stigma: A Discussion on Mental Health Care in the Texas Panhandle with Dr. Lynn Jennings and Bobbi Britto

Discovery Center hosting mental health experts for Community Speaker Series this Friday

This Friday, the Don Harrington Discovery Center in Amarillo, Texas will be hosting two community speakers to discuss mental health care in the Texas Panhandle. Dr. Lynn Jennings and Bobbi Britto will be speaking about the limitations and stigmas surrounding mental health care. The event is part of the Discover Community Speaker Series and is free to adults. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the speakers will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Jennings is a licensed counselor supervisor and licensed sex offender treatment provider supervisor in Texas with over 20 years of experience in private practice. She has also served as a counselor educator at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Clinical Mental Health Program for several years. On the other hand, Bobbi Britto is a licensed professional counselor supervisor in Texas with 10 years of counseling experience under her belt. She currently serves as the clinical director of Mental Health Services at The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center and has presented with Dr. Jennings on secondary traumatic stress on multiple occasions.
