All Memorial Health System locations end visitor and masking restrictions

Memorial Health System in Marietta, Ohio has recently lifted visitor and masking restrictions at all Memorial Health System locations. This decision comes after a decrease in the number of patients with respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19, RSV, and influenza.

As a result, the previous guidelines are no longer in effect, which included restrictions such as allowing only two visitors per patient, visitors needing to be 18 years or older and show no signs of illness, and masking requirements. Additional restrictions that were applied to specialized units and specific illnesses have also been lifted.

This move indicates that there has been a decrease in cases related to highly contagious illnesses entering the health system, which is a positive development for the community. The lifting of visitor restrictions is a welcome change and shows progress in managing and controlling the spread of these illnesses.
