Baltimore County business owner discovers two entire boxes of mail discarded in dumpster

Over the weekend, a Baltimore County business owner made an unusual discovery behind his store. Steve Ennis, the owner of GoFish, found two boxes full of mail in a dumpster weighing nearly 30 pounds. Ennis described it as a mystery due to the large quantity of mail found.

Ennis stumbled upon the mail while taking a walk behind his business on Sunday. According to CBS News, incidents of mail theft have increased significantly in recent years. Ennis recalled the importance of not tampering with mailboxes, as they are considered a federal issue.

Unsure of what to do with the found mail, Ennis reached out to WJZ for guidance. A spokesperson for the U.S. Postal Service recommended filing a report with their Inspector General in such situations. Ennis plans to follow this advice and report the discovery of the mail to the appropriate authorities.

For Jessica Albert, joining the WJZ family in September 2021 was a dream come true. After being a longtime fan of the network, she was thrilled to become part of the team.
