Mobile County Health Department presents discounted rabies clinic services in April.

Mobile County, Alabama requires by law that dogs, cats, and ferrets be vaccinated. Fortunately, pet owners in Mobile have access to resources to help them comply with this mandate. The Mobile County Health Department is offering low-cost rabies shots for these animals.

There are several drive-through clinics scheduled in April where pet owners can bring their animals to receive the rabies vaccine. The clinics will be held at locations such as the Mobile County Animal Shelter, Pet Supplies Plus, Glamour Paws Grooming, and the Prichard Animal Shelter.

The cost of the one-year rabies vaccine at these clinics is $12, payable in cash. These clinics are part of a larger effort to ensure that animals in the county are protected against rabies. In 2023, the program vaccinated 2,004 household pets.
