Banski dvori Approves Compensation Request for Banožić’s Lawyer

In response to a request from his lawyer, Banski dvor has approved a compensation plan for former Minister of Defense Marij Banožić. The government has granted him the full ministerial salary for the next six months and half of that salary for the following six months. Banožić’s net salary in his former role was 2,740 euros.

Additionally, Banožić’s lawyer recently withdrew a request for the activation and suspension of his parliamentary mandate due to personal reasons, using a power of attorney. As a result, the Mandate and Immunity Committee’s session, which was scheduled to discuss and decide on the request, was cancelled. Previously, the MIP had expressed their readiness to comply with the lawyer’s request to activate Banožić and then suspend his parliamentary mandate after reviewing the documentation.
