Amogy teams up with W-Industries to collaborate on technology and engineering projects

Amogy, a U.S. provider of ammonia-to-power solutions, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with W-Industries to explore opportunities for technology and engineering collaboration. Amogy has developed a unique system that converts liquid ammonia into hydrogen and nitrogen, which is then used to generate power in fuel cells. This technology is particularly suited for industries like maritime shipping and power generation.

The partnership between Amogy and W-Industries aims to investigate ways to efficiently scale the design and production of modular and containerized versions of Amogy’s products. They also plan to set up a joint commissioning and service-support structure for future projects and product deployments. W-Industries sees this collaboration as a significant step towards supporting sustainable energy solutions and is excited to contribute their process knowledge and packaging expertise to the commercial development of Amogy’s solutions.

Seonghoon Woo, CEO of Amogy, expressed enthusiasm about formalizing the partnership with W-Industries. By combining their expertise and resources, they hope to explore new possibilities and improve Amogy’s commercial offerings. Together, they aim to provide enhanced value to customers and make a positive impact in the industry. Amogy’s ammonia-to-electrical-power system will also be utilized as the primary propulsion method in carbon-free electrical platform supply vessels (ePSVs) developed by Green Ships Invest.

The partnership between Amogy and Green Ships Invest has recently been strengthened with the signing of a groundbreaking commercial contract. This collaboration will further enhance the development and deployment of environmentally-friendly transportation solutions.
