A Fond Farewell: The Shocking Closure of Rony’s Place in Pleasant Gap

Pleasant Gap Restaurant Shuts its Doors After Three Decades of Service

Rony’s Place, a beloved restaurant in Pleasant Gap, has permanently closed its doors as of March 6, 2024. The closure marks the end of over three decades in business for the establishment.

Co-owner Susan Lopez announced the closure in a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, citing circumstances beyond their control. Despite being previously listed as temporarily closed, Rony’s Place will no longer be operating.

Expressing gratitude to the loyal customers who supported the restaurant over the years, Lopez mentioned the relationships that had been built with patrons who became like family. The restaurant was not just a place of business, but also a second home where memories were made.

Known for its offerings of pizza, stromboli, calzones, sandwiches, subs, salads and various Italian entrees, Rony’s Place also had breakfast and lunch menus. The closure marks the end of an era for the restaurant and its dedicated patrons.

While the doors may be closed for now, the owners have indicated that they are not looking to sell or lease the building at this time. The legacy of Rony’s Place will live on through the memories shared by its customers and the community it served.
