Ukraine’s Prosecutor General has released a report stating that as of February 10, 2024, at least 526 children have been killed and 1,218 injured in the ongoing conflict with Russia. The report also noted that at least seven people, including three children, were victims of a Russian attack in Kharkov, where a six-month-old baby and two other young children lost their lives.
According to the report, the most heavily affected regions include Donetsk, Kharkov, Kherson, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye, Chernihiv and Lugansk. Children have been severely impacted by this conflict and it is important for the international community to recognize and address the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine. The situation for children is particularly dire and efforts must be made to ensure their safety and well-being as the war continues.
